Since our early childhood, L and I have been nomads, perhaps due to our parents’ love for travel and discovery. As immigrants from the Middle East to Canada and then residents of a small country in the Caucasus, we now venture into a European experience. In doing so, we will record our stories and reminisce on past adventures of places and people who have inspired us. We hope that these stories will help others find joy and maybe take a trip of their own.
L and I are fortunate enough to have build a career that allows us to work remotely. As Gen X-ers, and parents to 4 children, we’ve worked hard and earned our passage to the next chapter in our lives that will be set at our own pace, rhythm and choices.
L was born in Beirut amidst a war and fled to Cyprus to finally immigrate to Montreal with her parents where she pursued studies in literature and psycho-education. Today, she heads the women’s center that she founded in 2003 with a partner in post soviet Yerevan, Armenia. She prefers to be known as a professional coffee cup reader and storyteller.
R was born in Amman amidst a war and fled to Kuwait with his parents and fled once more to Boston to find a home in Montreal where he studies communications and community economic development. He founded a creative agency in Yerevan and has been working on strategic communications since 2006. He pretends to be a filmmaker and a kick-a** dancer.
On the website, we will dismantle and disrupt myths around aging and traveling. Now that most of our kids have left the nest – except for our bonus child (12), we will share our process of evolving into our new lifestyle – more travel, remote work and nomad experiences.
So, If you ended up here it is because you want to see and hear what we have been up to – let’s start.
